Tear Trough Filler (Under-Eye) in Redditch & Birmingham

About Tear Troughs

The tear trough is the area below the eye between the eye and the upper cheek.

As we age the skin becomes thinner and we lose volume in our face which makes the face droop. This can result in sunken and hollow looking tear troughs. This also can make our under eyes look dark and tired all the time.

This concern is not only due to age and can often be due to genetics.

Treatment Overview

Advances in non-surgical treatments now allow us to achieve improvements in these areas with minimal downtime without having to undergo surgery.

This treatment can completely transform someone's face making them look less tired and more refreshed.

The results last from 9–18 months depending on the type of filler used.

This treatment is not suitable for clients with puffy eyes.

Post Treatment Advice

This is a delicate area so swelling is a possibility. Although you will expect to see immediate natural results, you should expect any swelling to subside within 2–3 days, but it may take up to 2 weeks for the full results and will continue to improve for up to 8 weeks.

It is not advised that you apply make up for 12 hours after treatment to minimize the risk of infection.

Only use tepid water to wash your face and pat dry carefully with a clean towel. Exercise should be avoided for at least 24 hours.

No saunas, steam rooms or facial treatments for 2 weeks post treatment.

You should contact your practitioner if you have any concerns post treatment.
