What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is an intensive exfoliating treatment that removes dead skin and vellus hair (“peach fuzz”) using a small sterile scalpel. It’s safe, non-invasive, gives instant glow, and has excellent long-term benefits for makeup application and product absorption.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure using tiny needles to create micro-channels in the skin. This controlled “micro-trauma” stimulates healing and boosts collagen and elastin.

  • Targets: acne scars, general scars, stretch marks, uneven tone, fine lines & wrinkles, enlarged pores and early signs of ageing.
  • We recommend a course of 4 for best results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does dermaplaning make hair grow back thicker?

No — vellus hair returns with the same colour and thickness. It may feel a little blunt as it regrows, which is normal.

Is microneedling painful? Is there downtime?

You’ll feel a prickly sensation; most clients find it very tolerable. Expect pinkness for 24–48 hours with light flaking possible.

How many sessions will I need?

For texture, pores and scarring we recommend a course of 4 sessions (typically 3–4 weeks apart). Single glow-ups are great before events.

Aftercare tips?

Keep skin clean and hydrated, avoid makeup/saunas/gyms for 24 hours, use SPF 30+, and pause retinoids/acids for a few days.

Who shouldn’t have these treatments?

Active acne or infection, recent sunburn, isotretinoin in the last 6 months, and pregnancy for microneedling. We’ll assess suitability at consultation.
