A patient said something to me recently that really stayed with me: “I don’t lack confidence… but I am really worried about my skin laxity.” It reminded me how personal confidence really is. For some people, it’s about how they feel inside. For others, it’s about feeling comfortable in their skin, their face, their reflection — or all three. And if I’m being honest, hormones can play a huge part in this too. I know from my own experience how hitting menopause (and 50) can change how you feel in your skin and in yourself, sometimes in ways you don’t expect. Confidence doesn’t have to mean the same thing to everyone. So I’d love to ask you — what does confidence mean to you? Is it how you feel? How you look? Or a bit of both?
