All Prepared But Nobody Arrived! A little note about missed appointments… This week alone I’ve had three patients not attend their appointments and I know the other clinic ladies have had others. I completely understand that life happens and plans sometimes change, but when someone doesn’t turn up or let me know, it has a real impact on the clinic. That appointment time could have been offered to another patient who may have been waiting to come in. Often I will come into the clinic on a Saturday for just one appointment, or stay late after a full day, specifically to accommodate someone. When that appointment isn’t attended, it can mean a wasted journey or time that I could have spent heading home earlier to be with my family. If you ever need to rearrange, I always appreciate as much notice as possible so that the time can be offered to someone else. Thank you to the many patients who respect the diary and always communicate if plans change (because I appreciate they do) it really is appreciated. 🤍
